Oncology Rehabilitation  
     
Youville Hospital's oncology rehabilitation program uniquely incorporates rehabilitation with primary medical and specialty care to meet the needs of cancer patients.

Patients benefit from the expertise of physicians and other clinical professionals led by Medical Director Carolyn Krasner, MD, of the Hematology Oncology Associates of Mass. General Hospital. Specialty treatment includes chemotherapy, blood product replacement, infusion therapy, pain management, treatment of radiation-related symptoms, nutrition and wound management.

Admission Criteria
This program is designed for adults over the age of 18. Additional admission criteria may include but are not limited to:

  • Any hematological or cancer diagnosis, complications from cancer or recovery from cancer-related surgery requiring hospital-level care
  • Functional disability significant enough to require hospital-level rehabilitation
  • Motivation to work toward recovery and ability to participate in an active rehabilitation program
